Scenario Based Training
In this class students will be presented with scenarios that they must navigate the way they see best. Role players will challenge students and safety will remain paramount throughout class.
Class Flow:
- Legal Use of Force discussion.
- We touch on ORBTC, AOJ, OODA Loop and related topics.
- Safety Brief / Buddy Check. No tools / weapons of any kind are allowed in this class and this will be verified prior to start of scenarios.
- Scenarios. The scenarios are different from session-to-session.
Throughout our scenario based training sessions students are directed to navigate scenarios in a manner that is objectively reasonable based on the totality of the circumstances. Students are challenged in a safe environment that allows them to identify deficiencies and upgrade their capability while refining how they would traverse a dynamic interaction.
Incidents depicted vary from violent in nature, medical, or complex verbal scenarios that necessitate proper interpersonal strategy, navigation, and de-escalation. Much like when these occur outside of training, these scenarios are fluid based on student actions and input. Our team behaves in a manner that encourages intentional strategy and flexibility to effectively resolve the incidents presented.
We offer these training sessions at our facility but advocate conducting them in an environment where you are likely to encounter an incident.
